PES 2021 Johan Cruijff ArenA 2025 Update

This is more than a simple update from Papijonnnn's previous release — it's a full-blown rework of the Johan Cruyff ArenA with a strong emphasis on realism, atmosphere, and authenticity. The main highlight is the fully recreated Noord B exterior built from scratch using assets from EAFC 25, with additional textures and details enhanced by Eddduuuhhh.

Features & Improvements

STADIUM EXTERIOR FROM EAFC 25 (THANKS TO DAV)​

The highlight of this release is a complete full exterior model of the Noord B entrance, converted directly from EAFC 25. With careful optimization and refinements, this exterior integrates seamlessly into the PES engine while staying true to the stadium’s real-world proportions. From fans waiting in the line, to security guards manning the turnstiles, to cars in the car park/garage, much detail was put into this cutscene. Exterior textures and signs provided by Eddduuuhhh., enhancing realism across all surfaces. Huge thanks to @DAV for his help in getting the exterior model and camera pan fully functional—an exciting innovation not previously done in the community. The setup is inspired by some of KONAMI’s in-game exterior camera angles, bringing a new level of immersion and broadcast-style presentation to the Johan Cruijff ArenA experience.​

INTEGRATION OF MODELS FROM EAFC 25 AND EFOOTBALL 2025​

This release integrates several visual elements introduced in the new eFootball 2025 model as well as from EAFC 25. The red wall beneath the upper tier has been faithfully recreated. The platform designated for TV broadcast cameras has been properly modeled for accurate matchday representation. The press and commentary zone has now been fully incorporated, based on updated reference material and images generously provided by Eddduuuhhh. In addition, the upper-tier television screens have been replaced to reflect the modern layout seen in recent matches—removing the outdated thick yellow displays found in the original PES 2021 version, and replacing them with accurate, slimmer units positioned exactly as in the real Johan Cruijff ArenA.​

TUNNEL​

The tunnel has been meticulously rebuilt almost entirely from scratch, using the base structure extracted from EAFC 25. A massive thanks to @Eddduhhhhhh for his invaluable support with textures, mapping, and high-quality reference material. The final result mirrors the real-life tunnel with impressive accuracy—featuring Ajax’s full list of honors, the iconic three stars on the floor, and mural-style imagery of club legends including Johan Cruijff, Marco van Basten, Jari Litmanen, and others who define Ajax’s legacy.​

VIP SKYBOXES​

VIP areas and skyboxes have been restructured with greater seat density, visibility, and lighting, modeled after recent high-resolution reference captures with close attention to detail of real reference images. The default PES 2021 version by KONAMI lacked any proper VIP rooms—replacing them instead with black, opaque “glass” panels over the area where they should have existed. I carefully removed these panels one by one and manually reconstructed the VIP boxes to reflect the real stadium’s premium hospitality areas. The new sky boxes include functioning TVs, ambient lighting, lounge furniture, and seating, all accurately modeled using reference photos provided by @Eddduhhhhhh.​

DUTCH NATIONAL TEAM AD BANNERS​

When used with the Dutch national team, the stadium features accurate sponsor boards and in-stadium branding for KNVB/Oranje fixtures. Textures were again made from scratch by myself and Eddduuuhhh along with accurate placements and reference images by him.​

​

UPDATED ADBOARDS AND CURVED ADBOARD MODEL​

Thanks to Arl for granting permission to use his latest Ajax Eredivisie video ads, I was able to faithfully recreate the curved adboard model seen during Ajax and Dutch national team matches. This includes the distinctive yellow billboard backing, meticulously matched to real-life visuals for maximum authenticity.​

AWAVING FLAGS AND F-SIDE ULTRA BANNERS by Eddduuuhhh ​

Animated waving flags populate the F-Side to capture the energy and passion of Ajax’s most vocal supporters during matches. All textures for these were yet again supplied by the incredible Eddduuuhhh who helped me greatly with this project from an accuracy standpoint.​

ACCURATE SUN POSITION by Dragovic ​

Once again, the brilliant Dragovic came through with meticulously calculated sun positioning and lighting values for the stadium. As a result, the sun now casts light exactly where it should during day matches, with immersive sunset tones for night fixtures and dynamic fog settings applied for winter or late evening games—bringing a whole new level of atmosphere to the Johan Cruijff ArenA.​

BANNER SERVER 3.0 COMPATIBLE UCL AND UEL ADS​

The stadium is fully compatible with Banner Server 3.0, featuring accurate UCL and UEL adboards built on Balkan PESBOX's base textures.​
